Problem is also some of our local users don't have external email accounts. The problem is when you forward that email to a local Exchange user, it also has to use the smtp/pop3 account so it takes the longer route to the internet and back. So, if you received the email from outside, by default, you are going to reply to it using the smtp/pop3 account. Internet sender -> Hosted POP3 Server -> Local Recipient * Outlook uses the account used to receive the email to also reply or foward that email.
